Pay Details
- $35-$38 an hour
- $6,000 Sign on Bonus
Schedule
- Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday
- Full Time
- 3rd shift
Responsibilities
- Assist with preventive maintenance on trucks and trailers while utilizing personal safety equipment as required.
- Open repair orders and charge the appropriate parts to the repair order
- Perform tire inspections/appropriate paperwork to company standards
- Inspects and maintains basic vehicle/accessorial worthiness including proper fuel levels and tire air pressure, fluid levels, brakes, lights, and safety equipment, and submits reports indicating the condition of equipment.
- Weld and fabricate on powered tractor vehicles and trailers while utilizing personal safety equipment as required
- Performs repairs and preventative maintenance on tractors, tanker trailers, and components
- Position, align, fit, and weld parts to form complete units, following blueprints and layout specifications
Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- High School Diplomia or GED
- 2 years of verifiable experience
- Trailer HM183 inspection experience required
- Aluminum Welding Experience required
- Ability to provide own basic hand tools
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to read and comprehend service manuals
- Knowledge of tools and equipment used in the shop to repair and maintain company equipment
- A basic knowledge of tractor and trailer maintenance
- Knowledge of D.O.T. regulations and out-of-service parameters for tractors, trailers, and accessorial equipment.
