Pay Details

  • Journeyman rate $47.37
  • $2.00 shift premium for the overnight shift

  • 7 days on, 7 days off
  • Monday- Sunday 5:30 pm to 5:30 am

Job Details

  • Safe and professional work practices are mandatory
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, exercise good judgment and common sense and conduct him/herself professionally
  • Able to perform duties in all weather conditions
  • Aluminum welding, Stainless steel welding, multiple positional welding required
  • Weld, Fabricate repair trailer’s structure and aggregates
  • Preventive maintenance on trailers and commercial trailers/trucks
  • Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), oxy-acetylene welding (OAW)
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
  • Operate brazing and soldering equipment
  • Operate metal shaping machines
  • Repair worn parts of metal products by welding on extra layers
  • Professionally maintain equipment.
  • Follow policies & procedures
  • Work safely, using directed PPE
  • Complete tasks in a timely fashion as per the Standard Repair Time Guidelines

Qualifications

  • Journeyman certification required
  • 2 years verifiable welding experience
  • Mig and Tig welding experience required
  • Dual welding/ HET certification considered an asset
  • Aluminum, stainless, and multiple positional welding experience required
  • Operation of hand and air tools
  • Must be physically fit and reasonably strong enough to perform required duties
  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Positive work ethic and attitude
  • May work above shoulder level with power and /or hand tools weighing 15 pounds or less and in confined spaces.
  • Must meet the physical requirements of the position and have mobility, vision, hearing, sense of smell, and dexterity levels appropriate to the duties performed.
  • May stand and walk on level and uneven surfaces, twist, bend, push, pull, crouch, climb stairs, bend and crawl, grasp, drag, lift, and carry items weighing 50 lbs. or less.
  • Must be willing and able to work at heights up to 15 feet

Pay Range

Starting from CAD $47.37/Hr.
