Job Details

Reporting to the Director, Sales Excellence, the Inside Sales Specialist (Regional Accounts) plays a key role in supporting customer engagement and revenue growth across a portfolio of regional accounts in both the United States and Canada. This role focuses on day-to-day account management and customer support, ensuring timely responses to customer inquiries, accurate order processing, and strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Managing a defined portfolio of accounts to ensure customer satisfaction, retention, and achievement of assigned revenue targets.
• Executing day-to-day sales activities (quoting, renewals, order follow-up, account maintenance) in support of regional growth objectives.
• Exercising autonomy in account-level decision-making, while escalating only higher-risk issues or exceptions to sales leadership.
• Proactively identifying opportunities to grow accounts or improve the customer experience, and sharing feedback to help refine sales processes.
• Working closely with internal teams — including Sales, Operations, Customer Service, Marketing, Finance, and cross-border partners — to ensure smooth account support and positive customer experiences.
• Engaging regularly with external stakeholders, such as customers, logistics coordinators, procurement contacts, and partner carriers, to manage day-to-day account needs and resolve issues promptly.
• Monitoring portfolio performance using CRM and reporting tools; taking corrective actions within your scope of authority and flagging broader trends to leadership.
• Providing accurate and timely communication to customers regarding pricing, product availability, order status, and service updates.
• Maintaining a high level of attention to detail, as accuracy in pricing, account updates, and customer communications directly impacts customer trust and business outcomes.
• Contributing customer feedback and observations to support continuous improvement initiatives and inform broader sales strategies.
• Participating in sales training, process adoption, and CRM/data accuracy initiatives to build strong sales capability

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field; Equivalent work experience considered.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales, customer service or account management.
• Experience in bulk transportation, logistics, or a complex B2B service industry is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using data to drive performance.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Who You Are

• Demonstrated business acumen in a fast-paced, B2B logistics or transportation environment.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to secure stakeholder buy-in at multiple levels.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce or similar).
• Ability to critically analyze complex scenarios and recommend best-fit solutions.
• Self-motivated with excellent organizational and decision-making abilities.
• Comfort working in a hybrid or office-based environment, with occasional travel if required.
