Responsibilities
People
- Assist Service Manager in hiring, training, supervision and discipline of all Maintenance/Wash Rack personnel
- Ensure personnel are paid properly and overtime hours are closely monitored
- Ensure Shop and Wash Rack personnel are properly trained and equipped to perform the required tasks
- Assign all tasks to shop staff to ensure target productivity numbers are met
- Rotating on-call coverage
Equipment and Facility
- Coordinate the maintenance of all company and customer equipment
- Manage maintenance programs to meet specialized equipment and hauling requirements
- Maintain the equipment and facility in safe and proper working order
- Maintain knowledge of current equipment specifications and maintenance practices
Financial
- Assist Parts Person in ensuring inventory is charged to all work orders
- Participate in Inventory audit as required
- Generate repair orders and create task sections
- Complete quotes as required
- Review repair orders for accurate labor and parts charges
- Track revenue and shop productivity as it relates to the budget
Customer Service
- Ensure the Company meets all customer requirements and any changes are communicated immediately
- Maintain a positive working relationship with internal branch users as well as outside customers
Safety and Regulatory
- Ensure all work is performed in a safe manner
- Maintain all records of maintenance and testing to meet regulatory requirements
- Encourage and participate in all safety-related programs
Qualifications
- 3 - 5 years of related experience and/or training
- HET Journey person Certification or minimum experience in a related field
- CSA, B620, B625, ASME experience considered an asset
- Good knowledge of maintenance and tank wash industry
- Experience in bulk and/or hazardous commodities is desirable
- Advanced verbal and written communication
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong analysis and interpretation skills
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Experience in a computerized environment
- Good sales and customer development skills
- Understanding of marketing services
