Job Details
The People & Culture Intern will support Trimac’s People & Culture team across a range of talent, employee experience, and HR operations initiatives. This role is designed to provide hands on exposure to real world HR work while contributing to meaningful projects that support our employees and leaders.
This opportunity is ideal for a student pursuing post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related field who is seeking practical experience in a fast-paced, people-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with team members across Talent, HR Operations, and Learning & Development
- Help prepare reports, trackers, and presentations related to P&C initiatives
- Assist with recruitment and onboarding activities, including interview scheduling and new hire coordination
- Support employee programs, initiatives, and engagement activities
- Help maintain HR documentation, reports, and data tracking
- Contribute to summer intern programming, engagement activities, and events
- Assist with special projects related to culture, process improvement, or employee experience
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program related to Human Resources, Business, or a related field
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Professional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Comfortable working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Proactive, eager to learn, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
Program Eligibility
- Be enrolled in a post-secondary institution and available from May to August
- Returning to school following the summer term
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada (Citizen, PR, or valid work permit)
