Job Details
The Manager, Talent Acquisition leads a diverse and distributed Talent Acquisition team across North America. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable and repeatable recruitment processes that support the hiring of a wide range of roles, from professional drivers and contractors to back-office Corporate & Administrative leaders and professionals. Working in a fast-paced, seasonal, and often hard-to-fill hiring environment, this role will ensure hiring practices are candidate-friendly, efficient, data-informed and compliant. The Manager, Talent Acquisition will play a key role in enhancing our systems, enabling automation, and improving the end-to-end recruitment experience for candidates, hiring leaders, and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Leading the Talent Acquisition team, providing coaching, development and performance management
- Owning all recruitment-related processes
- Implementing simple, standardized and scalable recruitment processes
- Streamlining existing workflows to reduce inefficiencies and unnecessary handoffs
- Implementing ATS process improvements and automation
- Implementing customer and stakeholder feedback loops to drive continuous improvement
- Monitoring and reporting on metrics to ensure talent acquisition KPIs are being met
- Collaborating with P&C, IT and internal stakeholders to enhance ATS configuration and functionality
- Improving internal mobility through effective communication and P&C partnering
- Managing budgets and vendor relationships related to the ATS and recruiting technology
- Ensuring compliance with all federal, provincial/state and industry-specific hiring regulations
- Collaborating on employer branding, sourcing strategies and recruitment marketing initiatives
- Partnering with People Operations & Systems department to understand workforce needs and hiring forecasts
- Staying current on best practices, technologies and trends in talent acquisition
- Championing change and a culture of continuous learning throughout Trimac
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in Talent Acquisition
- Minimum of 2 years in a leadership or people management role
- Experience in the transportation, logistics, supply chain, or industrial sectors preferred
- Experience supporting both corporate and frontline Operations hiring strongly preferred

Who You Are
- Proven leadership skills leading and developing a geographically dispersed team
- Knowledge of hiring best practices across Canada and the United States
- Strong project management, stakeholder management and process design abilities
- Proficiency in optimizing and administering applicant tracking systems (UKG, iCIMS, etc.)
- Deep understanding of full-cycle recruitment for both high-volume and specialized roles
- Ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving structure in complex environments
- Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing, and communication skills
- Experience with recruitment marketing and sourcing technologies/tools
- Continuous improvement mindset to improve the candidate, new hire and hiring leader experience
