Job Details

The Advisor, Learning & Development is responsible for designing, facilitating, and sustaining impactful learning programs across Trimac. This role supports both in-person and virtual training delivery, and partners closely with leaders and subject matter experts to build tailored learning experiences that meet business needs. 

 

This role reports to the Manager, Learning & Onboarding and interacts with various levels of leadership, employees, contractors, Shared Services departments and vendors. 

Responsibilities

Delivering engaging and effective in-person and virtual training sessions across a variety of topics and audiences

Facilitating programs related to leadership development, onboarding, safety, systems, or other business-driven learning needs

Adapting delivery styles and techniques to suit different learner groups and environments

Collaborating with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to design custom learning programs and materials

Developing supporting content such as participant guides, facilitator manuals, job aids, and assessments

Continuously evaluating and improving course content based on feedback, performance data and business changes

Acting as a learning partner to business leaders by assessing needs and recommending effective learning solutions

Providing coaching and guidance on best practices in adult learning, facilitation, and instructional design

Embedding learning into the flow of work through practical and scalable approaches

Partnering with members of the Talent Management and Shared Services teams to ensure alignment with broader people and organizational goals

Supporting internal knowledge sharing and cross-functional learning efforts

Staying current on trends in learning solutions, technical training and training technology

Championing change and a culture of continuous learning throughout Trimac

Qualifications

Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, Learning & Development, or a related field

2-4 years experience in an administrative, People & Culture (P&C) or L&D role

Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or Talent systems as asset

Comfortable working with data and reports to make decisions and provide insights to stakeholders

Experience coordinating training sessions or events is considered an asset

Familiarity with employee training, onboarding, or P&C/HR processes is preferred

Who You Are

Strong in-person and virtual facilitation and presentation skills

Advise leaders and subject matter experts (SMEs) on training needs and learning strategies

Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to simplify complex information

Ability to design and deliver engaging and learner-focused content

Strong project coordination, organization and time management skills

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities

Proficient in Microsoft Office especially PowerPoint, Word, Teams and Excel

Collaborative, consultative, and inclusive working style

Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and build strong stakeholder relationships

Familiarity with eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) considered an asse
