Washrack Technician/Labourer

We are looking for a Washrack Technician for our shop in Winnipeg, MB. This is a great entry-level opportunity for someone who has shop experience and a passion for safety.

Pay:

• Starting at $17.58 - $21.47 per hour
• Additional $2.25 per hour for afternoons

Hours:

• Rotational 8 hour shift, starting at 7:00am and/or 2:00pm

Responsibilities:

• Exterior washing and assist with internal cleaning.
• Hose testing/cleaning.
• Pump flush.
• Drive equipment.
• Tank entry and confined space training
• Operation of hand tools.
• Wash work orders.
• Tank steam for clean.
• Steam product for repair.
• Assist in wash order scheduling.
• Boiler operation and maintenance of pumps, blowers, etc.
• Identify wash orders to be completed and know your limitations
• Comfortable working either indoor or outdoor ( Appropriate gear is provided)

Skills:

• Positive and strong work ethic.
• Must be ok working from heights over 20 ft.
• Positive attitude and job performance.
• Shop experience, including working around steam equipment.
• Must be capable of working in wet and humid conditions and exposure to normal wash rack cleaning materials.
• Basic understanding of shop safety, shop work practices, mechanical systems, and use of hand and power tools.

Educational Requirements:

• Valid Drivers License
• Grade 12 or equivalent
