Tank Trailer Mechanic

We're looking for a Truck/Trailer Mechanic Technician for our shop in Spartanburg, SC.If you're looking for a safety-oriented company, partner with National Tank Services!

Heavy-Duty Mechanic Pay:

• $22+ hr(Based on experience)
• Tool Incentive Program

Technician Hours:

• M-F
• 11:30am- 8:00pm

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Preventative maintenance ontrailers and commercial trailers/trucks
• Preventative maintenance checking tires, wheels, brakes, air systems, clutch/linkage, starting system, electrical system, completing HM183 periodic inspections and repairs
• Trailer repair duties include checking running gear including brakes, tires/wheels, air systems, suspension, electrical systems and lights
• Truck and trailer DOT inspections in accordance with 49 CFR

Experience/Requirements:

• Valid Driver's License
• 2 years of verifiable experience
• Trailer HM183 inspection experience required
• Basic hand and air power tools
• No driving violation involving the consumption of illegal or intoxicating substances in the past 7 years

Other Job Details:

• May work above shoulder level with power and/or hand tools weighing 15lbs or less and in confined spaces
• Must meet physical requirements of the position and have mobility, vision, hearing, and sense of smell and dexterity levels appropriate to the duties performed
• May stand and walk on level and uneven surfaces, twist, bend, push, pull, crouch, climb stairs, bend and crawl, grasp, drag, lift, and carry items weighing 50lbs or less
