Location: Hybrid; Calgary, AB
Summary:
Trimac Transportation headquartered in Calgary, AB, is looking for a Financial Planning Analyst intern to assist with Trimac's financial team and support business analysis and forecasting planning with real-time data analysis. This position is to assist a current student in securing financial analysis and forecasting experience. The candidate will be learning to work with advanced excel formulas and VBA Macros. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to interact with senior leaders across the company and gain an understanding of developing their business analytical skills.
The Intern will be reporting to the Senior Director Analysis & Planning.

- Capital Analysis
- Forecasting and Budgeting
- Management Reporting and Analysis
- Front and Back End Business Intelligence development
This allows exposure to:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel Formulas and VBA Macros
- SQL Server - focusing on SSAS, SSIS, SSMS
- Beginner Microsoft Power BI
Skills:
- A keen eye for detail with a high degree of accuracy
- Strong written and verbal skills at the business level.
- Self-starter with the ability to work effectively with internal business users
- Ability to adapt between independent and team projects
- Delivering on agile projects.
- Ability to manage time among multiple assignments in a busy, fast-paced work environment.
Requirements/Education Studies:
- Current student in Financial Planning or equivalent degree/diploma in finance.
- No experience required.
