THE ROLE
The French Translator will be integral to helping us communicate effectively and accurately to clients and colleagues in both official languages.
This role reports to our Director Culture & Communication and interacts with executives, management, direct reports, internal departments, legal counsel, operating branches, front-line managers, external agents, vendors, and key contacts with current and potential customers.

WHO YOU ARE
- Fluent in French Canadian (native level), both written and spoken, fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Experienced as a translator in Mobile Apps, Search Engines, IT Consumer Products, Entertainment, Marketing, Software UI, Websites is a plus.
- Thorough understanding of the localization process.
- Ability to work with tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability and willingness to train/teach others and pass on knowledge.
- Self-motivated with a high level of independence
A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Translate from English to French: a wide range of materials (including marketing brochures and campaigns, articles, website content, presentations, IT notifications, newsletters, etc.) in compliance with established standards and processes.
- Post-edit translations skillfully while ensuring formatting is correct.
- Revise or perform quality control on content translated by colleagues.
- Proofread documents in French produced internally.
- Managing project-related queries.
- Performing other translation-related admin tasks.
- Provide a high level of client service.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 1 years of translation experience
- Bachelor's degree in translation or a related field.
