Fleet Services Coordinator (Calgary, AB)

The Fleet Services Coordinator is responsible for monitoring equipment inventory levels, ordering, receiving all parts required for shop operations, and processing vendor payments. The Fleet Services Coordinator has full responsibility for advising mechanics and customers on equipment availability.

  • Places and tracks equipment, keeps manager and service writer informed of parts availability and delivery schedules
  • Determines appropriate stock inventory levels of equipmentrequired for both fleet and commercial maintenance customers
  • Issues purchase orders, processes vendor invoices, processes credits
  • Maintains a positive relationship with vendors
  • Prepares weekly and monthly reports as required
  • Tracks and prepares core exchanges as per the manufacture's requirements
  • Analyzes equipmentusage and returns inventory when appropriate
  • Reviews completed repair orders and prepares invoices for the customers
  • Orders shop tooling and expandable supplies as required
  • Strong interpersonal, customer relationship and communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Team player - good interpersonal coaching and mentoring
  • Self motivator - planning, organization, and facilitation
  • Able to prioritize tasks and function effectively, and efficiently, with Minimal supervision.
  • Ability to deliver exceptional customer service on a consistent basis.
  • Ability to accurately manage part numbers and other details.
  • Ability to effectively communicate one-on-one and in small groups with employees, customers, managers, vendors, and the general public.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year experience in shop maintenance operations
  • Knowledge of D.O.T. regulations and out-of-service parameters for tractors, trailers and accessorial equipment.
  • Knowledge of tools and equipment used to repair and maintain tractor and trailer equipment
  • A basic knowledge of truck and trailer repair along with suspension, chassis components, and electrical trouble shooting is helpful
  • Knowledge of proper procedures for handling and disposal of hazardous waste materials.
