  • Assist in Trimacs storytelling initiatives that define the companys brand identity.
  • Research, interview, write, edit, and promote materials for a variety of audiences and mediums including website content, announcements, speaking notes, ad copy, newsletters, award submissions, memos, and company intranet posts.
  • Draft and publish social media and SEO web content.
  • Help execute internal and external communications.
  • Collect information to produce a weekly newsletter.
  • Build relationships and work with all levels of internal clients to deliver communications priorities.
  • Graphic design for communications material.
  • Website and intranet management.
  • Administrative assignments as required.
  • Draft and publish internal communications (i.e. email, website content, newsletter articles) on learning materials, employee development, and leadership programs.
  • Assist in the development of creative and innovative digital and media training assets, including writing content, undertaking video and animation production and editing, and supporting graphic design for online learning material for an internal audience.
  • Registered in a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution.
  • Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or persons to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.International students with a work/study permit are not eligible.
  • Have aWork-Integrated Learning (WIL) component (co-op, internship, practicum, etc.) within their study plan during the term of the placement/application or optional WIL recognized by the institution of their enrollment in the corresponding semester.
  • Applicants from a variety of educational backgrounds are encouraged to apply, including those pursuing studies in communications, digital marketing, journalism, public relations, graphic design, web and digital technology, or other related fields.
  • General knowledge of the principles and practices of journalism, marketing, and public relations.
  • In-depth knowledge of social media platforms and the capabilities of each.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Willingness to gain an understanding of WordPress, Google Analytics, Google Ad Words, video editing, SharePoint, and marketing automation platforms.
  • Understanding of writing for a target audience and with specific objectives in mind.
  • Understanding of content marketing.
  • Knowledge of CMS, website/HTML publishing preferred.
  • Transportation industry knowledge is an asset.
  • French language skill is an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with superior spelling, grammar, technical editing, and proofreading capabilities.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with multiple simultaneous assignments.
  • Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion.
